Do’s & Don’ts
Protect Yourself from Cybercrime
Cybercrime is a growing problem, and everyone is at risk. Here are some cyber security tips to help you protect yourself:
Use strong passwords and don't reuse them. A strong password is at least 12 characters long and includes a mix of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) whenever possible. 2FA adds an extra layer of security by requiring you to enter a code from your phone in addition to your password.
Be careful about what you click on. Phishing emails and malicious websites are designed to trick you into giving up your personal information. Don't click on links in emails from people you don't know, and only visit websites that you trust.
Keep your software up to date. Software updates often include security patches that can help protect you from malware.
Back up your data regularly. This way, if your computer is hacked, you won't lose all of your important files.
